With our expert guidance on products and sources, our clients purchase “fixture side materials” (tile, cabinetry, faucets/sinks, bathtubs, countertops, etc.) – directly from their supplier of choice. We’ll also help by recommending potential suppliers, but the final choice is yours. The Home Improvement Coach purchases the “raw construction materials” (lumber, drywall, plumbing and electrical components, etc.) on a pass-through basis, also at no markup.

Unlike other contractors, we do not require project deposits in advance. On the day we arrive to begin work, you’ll provide a Project Startup Payment. Depending on the project duration, progress payments may be due as the remodel moves forward, with final payment owed at completion. The payment schedule for your project will be detailed in your proposal. You’ll never have to worry about the security of your investment.

Our project proposal details the individual steps in your remodel with time estimates for each, as well as cost estimates for raw construction materials. Each week, you’ll receive our exclusive Project Tracking Sheet, showing work completed, actual work time, and raw construction material costs. You’ll always know exactly where your project stands relative to budget.

The vast majority of your renovation is performed by The Home Improvement Coach team. This approach eliminates lengthy project delays due to scheduling and provides greater security for our clients. Instead of a revolving door at your home, you’ll see the same trustworthy team every day.

Each of our team members is skilled in all aspects of remodeling (carpentry, drywall, tilework, electrical, plumbing, etc.), although each player has a trade specialty. This allows us to more efficiently assess and execute your project, leading to faster completion times and premium quality results.

Unlike many contractors, The Home Improvement Coach works on one project—yours—at a time! We don’t shuffle resources from project to project, or waste time with sub-contractor scheduling. Your project is our focus, as it moves forward every day to completion.

The Home Improvement Coach will purchase the “raw construction materials” (lumber, drywall, plumbing and electrical components, etc.) for your project, but again, with no mark up! You can use these dollars elsewhere in the renovation or save on your total project cost.
